Acceptable Use Policy.
Last updated: July 2026
Every business using TextGopher™ agrees to these rules. They protect callers, keep the messaging ecosystem healthy, and keep the platform compliant with carrier and legal requirements. This policy is part of our Terms.
Who this applies to
This policy applies to every business and user that sends messages or otherwise operates through TextGopher™. You are responsible for how your account is used, including by anyone on your team.
Prohibited content & messaging
You may not use TextGopher™ to send:
- Content in the carrier-restricted “SHAFT” categories — sex, hate, alcohol, firearms, or tobacco.
- Spam, bulk unsolicited messages, or messages to numbers you obtained from a purchased or rented list.
- Unlawful, deceptive, or fraudulent content, including phishing or impersonation.
- Anything that harasses, threatens, or endangers a person.
Consent & opt-out obligations
TextGopher™ is built for responding to people who contacted your business first — by calling or texting the number you connect. You may only message callers on that basis; don’t use TextGopher™ for cold outreach. Opt-outs must be honored immediately and permanently: a reply of STOP ends messaging, and you may not re-engage that number without fresh consent. See our SMS Policy.
Carrier & 10DLC compliance
Business messaging in the U.S. runs on registered 10DLC campaigns with carrier-set throughput and content rules. You agree to provide accurate registration details and to follow carrier requirements. Violations can lead carriers — not just us — to filter or block traffic.
Use of AI outputs
TextGopher™ drafts replies with AI under strict guards (see Responsible AI). You must not attempt to disable, bypass, or manipulate those guards, and you remain responsible for reviewing opportunities and deciding outcomes. TextGopher™ never quotes a price, promises service, or confirms an appointment on your behalf, and you should not represent that it does.
Fair Housing (real estate)
If you use TextGopher™ for real estate, you must comply with the Fair Housing Act and equivalent laws. The Fair Housing content filter stays active for that vertical and may not be circumvented.
Enforcement
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy, and we cooperate with carriers and regulators as required. Where practical we’ll give notice, but we may act immediately to protect callers, the platform, or the messaging ecosystem.
Reporting abuse
To report suspected abuse of TextGopher™, email abuse@textgopher.com.
