How text messaging works with TextGopher™ — who gets messages, how often, how to stop, what it costs, and how your information is handled.
Program description
TextGopher™ sends lead-response and scheduling messages on behalf of the local business you called — a home-services company (such as a plumber, HVAC company, electrician, roofer, landscaper, or handyman) or a real estate business. Messages identify the business by name and respond to your own inquiry. For a home-services business, that means asking what you need, gathering the job details (the nature of the job, service address, and preferred time window), and confirming an appointment window. For a real estate business, it means answering questions about the property you called about using its published listing facts (list price, HOA dues, bedrooms, bathrooms, square footage, year built) and passing your showing or callback request to your agent. Messages are conversational, one-to-one, and specific to your own request. We never send promotional, marketing, or bulk messages.
Consent
You will only receive messages through TextGopher™ if you contacted a participating business first, by calling its published phone number. If that call is not answered, the business texts you back from the same number you dialed — your call is the opt-in. The first message always identifies the business, states that message and data rates may apply, and includes opt-out instructions. Consent is never a condition of buying anything. We do not send cold outreach, and businesses cannot use TextGopher™ to message purchased or imported lists.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies based on your conversation — typically a handful of messages to schedule a single service visit. Messaging about a request ends when the conversation concludes.
Fees
Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile plan. TextGopher™ does not charge consumers to receive or send messages.
Opting out
Reply STOP to any message to opt out. (STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, and QUIT also work.) You will receive one final message confirming your opt-out, and then no further messages from that business’s number. Your opt-out is recorded permanently and honored even if you call the business again. To resume messages, reply START.
Help
Reply HELP or INFO to any message for assistance, or contact us at support@textgopher.com. For questions about a specific service appointment, you can also contact the business you were texting with directly.
Privacy
Your phone number and message content are used only to respond to your inquiry on behalf of the business you contacted. They are not sold and are not shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Carrier disclaimer
Carriers (including T-Mobile, AT&T, and Verizon) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to effective transmission from your network operator and your device’s capabilities.
